One of the most common plastics in industry, in everyday life and in machinery is PVC, or PVC, polyvinyl chloride is an almost universal material obtained by polymerizing a complex compound of ethylene and chlorine. PVC is used in all areas, although sometimes it causes security controversy, but it can be safely said that half of the statements about its danger are myths.

Strength and plasticity of PVC

The strength of polyvinyl chloride varies depending on the type, that is, the use of plasticizers and the amount of chlorine.

On the basis of PVC raw materials, a material with high tensile strength or filled with foam (chemical and gas method) or reinforced can be produced.
To give PVC certain properties, additives or additives are used:
• elastomers significantly increase the impact strength of the polymer;
• thermal and light stabilizers allow you to increase the melting point of the polymer and resist ultraviolet radiation;
• plasticizers are paraffins and waxes that increase the fluidity and plasticity of a material.
Through the use of these additives, a significant optimization of the material can be achieved in several parameters for use in a particular production.
